Timothy J McCloskey

Timothy J. McCloskey, age 65, of Richmond, TX, died Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Galveston Hospital, TX. He was born March 21, 1956 in Altoona, PA, a son of Paul J. McCloskey and Ruth A. (Geibel) Rumbaugh.

Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Ellen (Riner), whom he married on May 29, 1976 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Patton, PA; two sons: Timothy, Jr. (Melissa Roxberry) of West Sunbury, PA and Matthew of San Antonio, TX; and four granddaughters: Brittany, Savanna, McKenzie, and Kaitlin. He is also survived by his father, Paul J. McCloskey, a sister, Kathy (Jim) Stiver, and a brother, Michael (Mary) McCloskey, all of Altoona, PA.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth A. Rumbaugh and a granddaughter, Emily.

Timothy was a 1975 graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle High School. He was very proud to be a 13-year veteran of the US Air Force, during which time he received many accolades. Timothy will be remembered as being a person with a very big heart. He was very involved in church activities through the years. He was a very caring and giving person. His family, wife, sons, and granddaughters meant everything to him.

A private grave-side service, with Military Honors accorded by the Blair County Veterans Honor Guard, will be held at the convenience of the family at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona, PA.
