Robert Goon Obituary

Robert A. Goon, age 77, of Altoona, died Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at the James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born October 13, 1946 in Philipsburg, a son of the late Charles Ralph Goon Sr. and Rose V. (Wellar) Goon. He married Donna K. Bollinger on September 8, 1984. She preceded him in death on November 22, 2017.

He is survived by a step-son, William Holley (Stacey), two grandsons: Brandon Holley and Dakota Fitzwater; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his two brothers: Charles R. "Charlie" Goon Jr. and Gerald Wayne Goon.

Bob was a graduate of Altoona High School. He was a US Army veteran. He retired from Ward Trucking Co.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no public services.
