Pearl E (Helsel) Weyant

Pearl E. Weyant, age 92, a resident of The Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg, formerly of Duncansville, died Friday, January 7, 2022 at The Village. She was born August 16, 1929 in Claysburg, a daughter of the late John H. and Margaret Mae (Feathers) Helsel. She was twice married: first to Thomas A. Bagley, Sr., who preceded her in death in 1962, then to Ray S. Weyant, who also preceded her in death in 1992.

Surviving are: a son, Dennis Bagley of Duncansville; a step-son, Douglas Weyant (Brenda) of Roaring Spring; a step-daughter, Diane Kline (Rick) of Nanty Glo; 7 grandchildren: Angela Knight, Denise Bagley, Travis Bagley, Julie Robertson, Crystal Gendlesperber, Ethan Weyant, and Devon Weyant; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons: Thomas Bagley and Rodger Bagley; and six siblings: Agnes Ake, Olive Behe, and Harry, Orville, Russell, and James Helsel.

Pearl was a 1947 graduate of Claysburg High School. She was a member of Hick’s Memorial United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Genesis Sunday School Class and their knitting group.

She enjoyed knitting, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and watching the neighborhood out her window.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2pm on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Hick's United Methodist Church, Duncansville, officiated by Rev. Rich Morris. Interment at Presbyterian Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
