Neil A Robertson

Neil A. Robertson, age 68, of Maple Hollow, Duncansville, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. He was born September 24, 1954 in Altoona, a son of Doris M. (Glunt) and the late Leroy K. Robertson. He married Cheryl L. Shafer on Oct. 24, 1975 in Warren, OH.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; his mother, Doris, of Hollidaysburg; three children: Amy Reighard (Chris) of Portage, Scott Robertson (Jaime) of Altoona, and Barry Robertson (Amanda) of Mechanicsburg; five grandchildren: Gaige Reighard, Jocelyn Robertson, Torin Robertson, Jackie Robertson, and Mileah Reighard; and six siblings: Kathy Snyder, Patricia Walk, Carolyn Weyandt (Chalmer), Dave Robertson (Betty), Bruce Robertson (Kathy), and James Robertson (Cindey).

He was preceded in death by his father and a special uncle Charles Robertson.

Neil was a 1972 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. He was a Master Electrician and was a previous administrator of a personal care home. He retired in 2021 from Hirum G. Andrews Center as a building maintenance foreman.

He was a life member and past president of Duncansville Fire Department and was Emergency Management Coordinator for Duncansville area for many years. Neil was instrumental working with PA Healthcare developing legislation for assisted living and personal care homes.

Neil enjoyed the outdoors and hunting. He loved his dog, Coco, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Monday, May 15, 2023 from 5pm until the 6:30pm Memorial Service at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Duncansville. Pastor Jeremiah Baker will officiate.
