Michael Shevenock Obituary

Michael Shawn Shevenock, age 52, of Hollidaysburg, formerly of Gallitzin, died unexpectedly on Monday, March 27, 2023. He was born March 26, 1971 in Altoona, son of Michael Stanley Shevenock and the late Georgianna M. (Tonarelli) Shevenock.

He is survived by his wife Terri (Longenecker) Shevenock; a daughter Eden Shevenock; his father Michael S. Shevenock; and four sisters: Brenda Eger, Lori Williams, Dana Claar, and Lisa Galioto.

He was preceded in death by his mother in 2017.

Michael attended Penn-Cambria High School.

Michael’s life was dedicated to his military service in the US Army, 101st Airborne Division. He was very proud of his service time of almost 16 years. He served several tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Michael received numerous medals and honors, including a Bronze Star.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking for others, and watching Steelers football.

Services, with military honors, will be held privately for family.

Interment will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
