Jetsy L (Root) Herman

Jetsy L. Herman, age 81, of Imler, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, following an extended illness, on Thursday, September 8, 2022. She was born February 12, 1941 in Altoona, a daughter of the late Fred Vincent and Vera L. (Lloyd) Root. She married Carl E. Herman, Jr. on January 7, 1961 in Winchester, VA.

Surviving are her husband, Carl; a daughter: Jalynn Herman (Matt Colyer) of Erie; two granddaughters: Brogan Harr (Josh Hill) and Chynna Benton (John); three great-granddaughters: Stella, Vada, and Presley Lear; and a sister, Janice Branstetter of Tipton.

Jetsy was a 1959 graduate of Tyrone High School. She retired from Veeder-Root in 2000. She was a member of Grace Family Bible Church, Duncansville, where she taught Sunday school for several years.

Jetsy enjoyed spending time and shopping with her granddaughters and great-granddaughters.

Private services held at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place at Alto-Reste Cemetery.
