Dennis W Maher

Dennis W. Maher, age73, of Duncansville, died unexpectedly on Monday, April 27, 2026 at UPMC Altoona. He was born March 4, 1953 in Altoona, son of the late William T. and Thelma Jean (Ritchey) Maher.

Surviving are two sons, Daniel W. Maher of Altoona and Joseph P. Maher (April) of Duncansville; 5 grandchildren: Blaze, Cordelia, Madison, Brooke, and Paige; and his companion, Vicki Bridenbaugh.

Dennis was a 1971 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and served with the National Guard. He worked at Martin’s in Duncansville and previously worked as a skilled electrician for many years.

He was a past junior bowling coach for many years and was inducted into the Altoona District USBC Hall of Fame. Dennis was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed comic books, model railroading and fishing.

Friends will be received on Monday, May 4, 2026 from 5 until the 7pm memorial service at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Duncansville. Father Jeremy Mohler will officiate. Interment will take place at New St. Mary's Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
