Verne Evans Jr Obituary

Verne H. "Bud" Evans, Jr., age 51, of Altoona, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday afternoon, June 13, 2018 after a long battle with cancer, with his family by his side. He was born on December 23, 1966 in Willits, CA, son of Iva (Brown) Evans and the late Verne H. Evans, Sr. He was formerly married to Marlene (Greenwald).

Survived by his mother Iva Evans of Altoona; his fiancé Mary Eckert of Altoona; 3 daughters: Cynthia Evans, Alyssa Evans of Bedford and Kiera Evans of Everett; a granddaughter Madison Evans of Bedford; a sister Camille Wing of Seattle, WA; a brother Kelly Evans of Seattle, WA; and best friends: Mac Foor and Lane Hale of Altoona.

He was preceded in death by a sister Joan Downey and a brother Ben W. Evans, Sr.

Bud was a graduate of Altoona High School / Altoona Vo-Tech School. He enjoyed doing Sudoku puzzles, cooking, fishing shooting pool, and watching TV game shows. He was a Patriot football fan.

There will be no public viewing or services.
