Michael Augsburger Obituary

Michael P. Augsburger, age 48, of Altoona, died early Saturday morning, June 8, 2019, at UPMC Altoona. He was born February 23, 1971 at Camp Lejeune, Jacksonville, NC, a son of Philip D. Augsburger of Dallas, TX and the late Barbara E. (McConnaughay) Augsburger.

Survived by a brother Mark Augsburger of Altoona; his father; and several aunts and uncles: Patricia (Stan) Johnson of Beech Creek, PA, Sue (Orlie, Jr.) McConnaughay of Dixon, IL, Doug (Patty) McConnaughay; and several aunts and uncles on his fathers side of the family.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents: George and Viola Augsburger of Chatsworth, IL, and maternal grandparents: Orlie, Sr. and Ernestine McConnaughay of Dixon, IL.

Michael was a 1989 graduate of Southwest High School in Ft. Worth, TX, and attended Judson College in Illinois from 1990-92. He was a US Navy veteran, serving from 1996-98. He enjoyed sports and Civil War history.

There will be no public viewing or services.
