Dale F Evans

Dale F. Evans, age 75, of Tyrone, passed away Monday evening, September 17, 2018 at UPMC Altoona. Born November 16, 1942 in Fairmont, WV, he was the son of the late Floyd and Helen B. (O’Donnell) Evans. He married the former Sheila K. Smith on March 1, 1969 in Altoona.

He is survived by his wife Sheila, a son Damon P. Evans and wife Julie of Hollidaysburg, and a grand-daughter Lily Evans of Hollidaysburg.

He was preceded in death by a sister Faye M. Eichelberger.

Dale was a 1960 graduate of Altoona High School and attended Penn State University. He was a US Navy veteran, serving from 1960-66. He worked for Bell of PA from 1967-82, then worked for AT&T, where he was a technical consultant, until his retirement.

Dale was a member of Logan Lodge #490 F&AM, the Altoona Scottish Rite, the al-Aksa Chapter Order of DeMolay, and the Jaffa Shrine, where he was a past member of the Drum and Bugle Corps. and the Greeters.

Friends and family will be received on Thurs., Sept. 20, 2018 from 3 to 5pm at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 1218 4th Ave, Duncansville, immediately followed by a Memorial Service at 5pm, officiated by Pastor Tyler Pepper. Interment will take place at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
