Anna Mary ((Hoover)) Hutchison

Anna Mary Hutchison, age 93, a resident of The Winds at Mattern Orchard, formerly of Duncansville, died Saturday evening, July 28, 2018. She was born July 26, 1925 in Cross Keys, the daughter of the late Chester L. and M. Ruth (Clapper) Hoover. She married Ralph E. "Hutch" Hutchison on March 9, 1951 in Roaring Spring.

Surviving are three sons: Dr. James (wife Dr. Christine) of Lynchburg, VA, Lyn (wife Joni) of Duncansville, and Randy of Hampton, VA; three grandchildren: Justin (wife Gretchen) Hutchison, Rachel (husband Gary) LaBelle, and Jaime (husband David) Ziegler; two step-grandchildren: Paul (wife Sara) Orlino and Sean (wife Alyssa) Hurley; and 6 great-grandchildren: Alexander and Ava Hutchison, Alex LaBelle, Bennett and Adeline Orlino, and Gabriel Hurley

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, on Oct. 20, 2005; two brothers: W. Dale and Merle; and two sisters: Irma Coleman and Freda Smith

Anna Mary was a 1943 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and a graduate of the Chicago School of Practical Nursing. She retired from the Lutheran Home as an LPN. She was a member of Carson Valley Church of the Brethren, where she had formerly served as a youth advisor, Sunday School teacher, deaconess, and a choir member. She had been active in the Women’s Fellowship and enjoyed crafts and music

Friends will be received from 10am until Noon on Tues., July 31, 2018 with funeral service following at Noon, all at Carson Valley Church of the Brethren, Pastor Bradley Runkle officiating. Interment will take place at Carson Valley Cemetery
