The former Liebegott Funeral Home, originally owned by the Liebegott family of Duncansville, offered their services from the late-1890's until the mid-1990's. In November of 2002, my family, the Browns, brought back your hometown funeral home by opening the Liebegott-Brown Funeral Home, Inc. In June of 2018 we made the decision to operate the funeral home with our own family name and therefore established Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc.

Following completion of schooling at Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in January of 1999, my wife, Mary Ann, and I moved from Punxsutawney to the Altoona area, where I worked at a couple local funeral homes for several years.  After purchasing the former Liebegott Funeral Home in early 2002, we moved to Duncansville, where we are raising our two children, son Easton and daughter Ashlyn. As a family, we are involved in community activities and support many local functions.
